Vital Lessons from Surah Yusuf
There are amazing stories of the prophets in the Holy Quran, which you can find on the Quranhost blog. The reason for the mention or “Zikr” of these prophets is that they have lessons to guide us in our life. Similarly, Surah Yusuf must follow the following five lessons:
Avoid Jealousy
The emotion called jealousy can be so powerful that it causes the dissolution of families and even communities. This is what happened when the brothers of the prophet Yusuf felt jealous. The prophet Yaqoob their father, forbade the prophet Yusuf A.S. to tell anyone his dream. The brothers became obsessed with removing the prophet Yusuf from their father’s life so that he (Yaqoob) could love them more. The Qur’an says:
He said, “O my son, do not tell your brothers your vision, otherwise they will create a plan against you. Indeed, Satan, for man, is a manifest enemy. Surah Yusuf, verse 5

Never disobey Allah, Face the Difficulty
The prophet Yusuf knew that he would be safe from the desires and traps of Pharoah’s wife while he was in prison, so he did. He preferred to face this suffering instead of displeasing Allah S.W.A.
Forgive because Allah loves Forgiveness
Afterwards so much suffering, providence took a turn and Yusuf A.S. became the ruler or king of Egypt. His brothers came before him after years of separation and the prophet Yusuf forgave them. The Qur’anic verse says:
He said, “No guilt will be on you today. Allah will forgive you and he is the most merciful and the kindhearted. “- Surah Yusuf, verse 92.

The prophet Yusuf A.S. was beautiful in every respect; no woman could resist him. That’s what pushed Pharaoh’s wife, Zulaikha, to do him a lot of harm. Nevertheless, he did everything to protect his chastity and did not commit sin.
She locked the doors and said, “Come, you.” He said, “I seek the refuge of Allah. Indeed, he is my master, who has made my home. Indeed, the unjust ones will not succeed. – Surah Yusuf, verse 23
In the end, we should all pray for the guidance of Allah and learn from the stories of all the prophets of the Qur’an.
